WEDNESDAY MORNING THOUGHTS:
As I think about what our great nation is going through, I can't help but reflect on JFK's inaugural speech. There is a part in that speech that I believe defines what we as an organization are doing right now.
"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."
I believe this applies not only to "nations" but to anything or anyone that attempts to steal our liberty! What is your liberty worth? What are you willing to sacrifice in order to maintain that liberty. Our founding fathers were willing to sacrifice their lives, their fortunes & their sacred honor for liberty. This is the pledge the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence swore to one another. Are we willing to make that same pledge? The day has come to stand together as one and boldly state that safety and security (or the promise of same) is not worth the price of surrendering our liberty!
With all its faults, The United States of America is still the greatest nation on the planet. I believe it is up to us to see that it stays that way. I also believe that we do not have much time to do so. I leave you with another memorable line from that inaugural speech back in 1961.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country."
The time is now to ask ourselves this question. And the answer that each of us has will determine the outcome of the fight ahead.
Have a great day.
Love you all!
Beautifully stated! Thank you
