National Team Update
As the National Team continues the mission of educating folks we are reaching a critical junction. We are working on planting the group in an area for the next 90 days. As you know, Angie Roberts (aka Chip's Mom) is our state lead in Tennessee. We have been looking at several places over the past weeks, and have decided to land in Eastern Tennessee. We will continue to work with Angie to get folks involved. We will be working on scheduling various events throughout the summer to give everyone plenty of notice as to where and when they are.
My thoughts this morning is how to financially make this happen. As you know we have been selling T-shirts & decals, we have auctions and raffles, and we are so grateful for all who have supported these efforts. The auctions and raffles give us a short term boost in finances that help cover some of the expenses. For quite some time the National Team has been paying their own way. The funds that are raised are used for renting venues to hold seminars, purchase flyers, food and fuel. This leaves us with a very important item that we are looking for help with, Lodging. The group is primarily staying at campgrounds as it is the least expensive option. However, this still takes quite a bit of money. The average cost is around $200.00 per week for 1 site. That is relatively inexpensive, but when you consider we need 2 sites, that is $400.00 per week or $1,600.00 per month. As we head into July, that means we have approximately 4 months until the Founding & Distinguished memberships start to automatically renew. We need help to bridge this gap.
I am going to be working on a short video to reach out on various social media outlets but wanted to bring this to our devoted supporters a few days in advance. We certainly understand the current economic situation and know that not everyone is in a position to help financially. Believe me, we covet your thoughts, prayers and words of support as well!!
