At least we have finalized our flyer as far as we could. We are 2 months out from the event so wanted to get the final version out there.
UPDATE: THE INSURANCE FOR THE VENUE CAME OUT LESS THAN WE EXPECTED
ALSO THE PRICE OF THE VENUE. WAS DIFFERENT I DON'T KNOW IF I DIDN'T LOOK AT IT CORRECTLY OR WHAT BUT ANYWAY IT'S IN OUR ADVANTAGE SO THAT IS GOOD.
SO I HAVE TAKEN DOWN THE DONATION FLYER AND WE WILL GET THAT UPDATED AND I WILL REPOST.
We have paid for the venue completely thanks to people's generous donations.
We have lowered the request for donations for food as we are going with a potluck on Saturday and of course we will have food trucks on the area we are mixing it up with a traditional food truck and a Asian food truck. So I am hoping something for everyone and if someone wants Mexican we know an excellent Mexican restaurant approximately 2 miles from the event.
Kentucky is making sure that they are a little plugs and prizes for the games I believe she also plans to do a price and have the adults play too if they want to not just the children. We have been invited to Fort Dodge veterans Home to an ice cream social in the morning there will be a sign-up sheet in the conference room at the event so if you wish to take part in the little Convoy there then you will be able to sign up.
We are also doing a 50/50 raffle under the auspices of OP1VET. 50% of the money raised goes to this charity that helps veterans and 50% will go towards paying for the event.
Once again any money over goes to veterans and very probably we will give it to the veterans home at Fort Dodge.
We want to give back to the community that welcomes us.
We are still looking for people who want to come and play their instruments or sing to their music Friday evening Saturday afternoon after the speakers and between the band and Sunday for a little while. Unfortunately we will not have enough donations to pay you to do this so it would be on a volunteer basis.
I am so looking forward to meeting many of you there. We have put a lot of thought and hard work into doing this event and the main thing I am hoping is that there are many people at the meeting from different patriotic groups on Saturday morning. This is the whole goal of this meet and greet. We hope it will be fun family weekend. There may be a small Convoy around the ring roads of Dodge which is being organized by TPM Kansas State lead Eddie and Joe Nagy who is being so kind as to bring his stepdeck trailer to use as our stage. And I'm sure you all know this saying be there or be square LOL.
